Saints vs Vikings NFL Game Christmas Special Odds, Pick, and Preview!
I didn't think Christmas day could get any better but then I woke up saw that Grandma gave me a card filled with gambling money and there is an NFL Football game to bet on. Merry Christmas, let's get into the pick.
Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints
The Vikings are coming off a disappointing loss as they allowed Mitch Trubisky and the Bears' "juggernaut" of an offense to drop 33 points on them. The defense has been shaky all year long and with star linebacker Eric Kendricks still out there is a major hole in the already weak defense. The offense has a lot of weapons with RB Dalvin Cook and the two WR's Thielen and Jefferson (Pro Bowler as a rookie this year, good trade Vikings :). The real question is Prime Time Christmas Kirk Cousins going to make enough throws to keep them in the game against a tough Saints defense.
Drew Brees looked like someone who was playing with 10000 broken ribs and without his top WR. With Michael Thomas out until the playoffs, I hope the Saints wake up and feed Alvin Kamara until he can't walk no more. The Saints defense made some plays last week but overall has not been as dominant in the past few weeks giving up rushing yards like we haven't seen in years. Emanuel Sanders is the only Saints WR still playing from the original starters, so hopefully, he is ready to catch all those 5-yard slants from Brees.
Drew Brees is visibly still not healthy and on a short week with the Saints missing a lot on offense right now their ability to put up a lot of points scares me for a 7 point spread. Kamara could take over this game but the Saints have seemed to forget he is on the team in recent weeks. The Vikings on the other hand may not be able to stop many teams but they have the offensive firepower to keep it close. Trust Dalvin Cook to keep his dominant season going and keep the Vikings within 7 points.
