NFL Monday Night Football: San Fransisco 49ers vs. Buffalo Bills Preview, Odds, and Prediction
The 2nd game on Monday night will not disappoint, as we can expect an entertaining game between the San Fransisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills. Both of these teams are looking to gain momentum and push towards clinching a playoff spot.
San Fransisco 49ers (-125) vs. Buffalo Bills (+105)... Spread: 49ers (-6.5)
The 49ers may be the most impressive team this year when you consider the injuries they have on both sides of the ball. The 2 main guys on defense, Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas, as well as their starting QB, Jimmy Garoppolo have been injured the whole year. The 49ers have relied on backup QB Nick Mullens for most of the season, and they have a chance to get to .500 this week. The 5-6 49ers are coming off an impressive 23-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams in week 12. It was a huge divisional win and should give the 49ers lots of confidence for the rest of the season, and they can maybe even push for a wildcard spot if they go on a winning streak. The return of WR Deebo Samuel has uplifted this offense to new heights after returning from injury. In week 12, Samuel had 133 receiving yards on 11 catches. He's 1 of the most important playmakers on this squad and if he can continue to produce through the air, it will give the outstanding run game of the 49ers more space to operate.
The Bills are currently battling for 1st place in the AFC East with the Miami Dolphins nipping at their heels at 8-4, and the recent surge of the Patriots have them threatening at 6-6 on the season. The Bills need a win here on Monday night to stay ahead of their division counterparts and move to 9-3 on the season. In week 12, they had a convincing win over the Los Angeles Chargers 27-17. QB Josh Allen had a really hot start to the season but has cooled down as the season progresses. Against the Chargers, Allen only threw for 157 yards and 1 TD with 1 INT. But, Allen also added 33 rushing yards with 1 TD and once again showcased his ability to carve up defenses on the ground. With that being said, this should be a close game throughout, and the Bills are the more trustworthy team this season with the injuries to the 49ers. I can't trust Nick Mullens as a 'favorite' ever, so let's take a shot with the Bills and the 'plus money' here with a big game from Allen and the WR's on the Bills.
Prediction: Bills Moneyline (+105)
