NFL Monday Night Football: Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons Preview, Odds, and Prediction!

The second half of the double header features the other QB from State Farm, Aaron Rodgers. Him and the Green Bay Packers will take on the winless Atlanta Falcons.

Green Bay Packers (-250) vs. Atlanta Falcons (+210)... Spread: Packers (-6)

Even though the Falcons are 0-3, it doesn't fully represent their play on the field. They should be 2-1 if it weren't for 2 horrible collapses against the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears. In week 2, they blew a 29-10 lead at half against the Cowboys, while in week 3 they blew a 26-10 lead in the 4th quarter against the Chicago Bears. The Falcons offense has looked solid as WR Calvin Ridley is having a breakout year. He already has 349 passing yards on the season with 4TD's. With him and WR Julio Jones on the outside, it may be one of the best 1-2 punches in the NFL. Also, RB Todd Gurley has had a good season so far and he's provided the Falcons with a consistent run game. The only issues with this team is their defense. They've allowed on average a whopping 36 points through 3 games this season. If they can figure out their struggles on the defensive side of the ball, the Falcons could push for a playoff spot despite their 0-3 start.

It's been business as usual for the Packers this year. They are 3-0 and are coming off an impressive 37-30 win over the New Orleans Saints. However, the Packers will be without their top 2 WR's Davante Adams and Allen Lazard in this game. These injuries will be huge losses to the Packers offense as they now have to rely on WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to be their top weapon on the outside. So, this will most likely be the 'Aaron Jones' show in this game. Jones has been a TD machine in 2020 with 5 TD's already. He will need to have another big game in week 4 as the Packers will need to keep pace with the Falcons potent offense. I'm expecting a high scoring affair in this one and I think the Falcons are better than their 0-3 record shows. I'm not sure if they'll do enough to defeat the Packers because of their defense, but let's take the Falcons to cover the +6 spread.

Prediction: Falcons Cover Spread +6 (-110)
