NBA Quick Picks!

Updated: Dec 25, 2020

The NBA season kicked off last night with a blowout win by the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles ‘Regular season’ Clippers Dominating the "fatigued" Lakers. There are 13 games on tonight so I will be giving you the best opportunity to make some quick Kash!

Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic

  • Money line: Heat -200 (bet $200 to win $100) - Magic +165 (bet $100 to win $165)

  • Against the spread: Heat -4.5 (-110) - Magic +4.5(-110)

  • Over/Under: 218 (O/U: -110)

The Reigning Eastern Conference champions kick off their season against the dishevelled Orlando Magic. Last season the Heat won 3 out of the 4 meetings against this team with Orlando getting a fluke win at the beginning of the season. Both teams are in very different situations, the Heat are a true contender in the East, while the Magic will again by fighting for one of the bottom three playoff spots. The Magic seemed to have found an exciting player in Cole Anthony, but it will not be enough to beat the Jimmy Butler lead Heat.

  • Heat ML (-200)

New York Knicks vs Indiana Pacers

  • Money line: Knicks +250 (bet $100 to win $250) - Pacers -320 (bet $320 to win $100)

  • Against the spread/ATS: Knicks +7.5 (-110) - Pacers -7.5 (-110)

  • Over/Under: 215 (O/U: -110)

Other than releasing one of the worst jerseys of all time the New York Knicks haven't changed, nothing says New York like the saying "City Never Sleeps, New York Knicks". In all seriousness, the Knicks haven’t made the playoffs or had more than 37 wins in any of their last seven seasons, but are looking to improve with second-year growth out of RJ Barret and their high flying rookie Obi Toppin. The Indian Pacers are under new Head coach Nate Bjorkgren who brings an exciting energy to a team that hasn't made it past the first round in five seasons.

Notable Injuries for Both teams:

  • SG Austin Rivers (groin) out

  • C Mitchell Robinson (ankle) probable

  • PG Dennis Smith Jr. (quadriceps) probable

  • SF T.J. Warren (foot) questionable

  • SG Jeremy Lamb (knee) out

Even though the Pacers have had some playoff struggles they are a far better and more consistent team than the sad franchise that is the New York Knicks.

  • Pacers (-7.5)

Denver Nuggets vs Sacramento Kings

  • Money line: Kings +250 (bet $100 to win $250) - Nuggets -280 (bet $280 to win $100)

  • Against the spread/ATS: Kings +7.5 (-110) - Nuggets -7.5 (-110)

  • Over/Under: 225.5 (O/U: -110)

The Sacramento Kings are looking to improve this season after struggling last season and finishing with a record of 31-41. This team has newfound energy due to the emergence of their young star De'Aaron Fox, he averaged a team-high 21.1 points, 6.8 assists, and 1.5 steals. They may have also found a gem in the draft in Kyle Guy, averaging 10.5 points and 2.5 assists in the pre-season.

The Denver Nuggets are coming off a dazzling playoff performance coming back from 3-1 deficit TWICE! This team is a legitimate contender if Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic continue the high level of play.

  • Vegas has overestimated the Kings ability to keep it close and the play, if you want to pick a side, is: Nuggets (-7.5)

  • Over 225.5
