Free Money NFL Games Week 8 Odds, Previews, and Picks.
It's week 8 and your panic attacks are about to start to grow in number. We are almost at the halfway point in the NFL season and you are probably getting anxious just thinking about what you are possibly going to do with all the extra time you have. The 15 hours a week you spend watching football, 5 hours a week you spend scrolling NFL Twitter just hoping for trades or injury reports, and the 3 hours every Sunday morning you spend tinkering with your fantasy football lineup... Just drop TY Hilton he's not going to have that breakout game, no matter how much he says his grandma is chirping him about how bad he is playing.
Add in the couple minutes you spend reading this article that's a lot of time spent on football. So this week I am going to help you adjust and lighten the load with two-line previews and picks for each team. Let's get into week 8.
Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns
With two up and down teams facing off the Browns are slight home favorites.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders currently have 6th ranked passing attack, behind Derek Carr's revival season. But only the Dallas Cowboys have had a worse graded defense on pro football focus than the Raiders.
The Browns are 9th in points-per-drive on offense but will be tested without Odell Beckham JR. The Browns though are 26th in points allowed-per-drive and have been very susceptible in the slot.
Myles Garret aside, both teams have been underwhelming on defense this year. Trust the offense that has been more impressive this year and the points.
Raiders +2.5 (-115)
Raiders Moneyline (+115)
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
Unsurprisingly the Packers are home favorites in a divisional game.
Dalvin Cook is back! But the Vikings young defense has been left out to dry on the d-line with one starter traded and the other out for the season.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers have the second best-graded offense in the NFL. But I don't think it's talked about how disappointing their defense has been this year, especially their pass-rush.
Both teams will look to put up unlimited points but the wind could be a problem. Even in a possible windy game to slow them down, the Packers will be able to cover.
Packers -6.5 (-110)
Los Angeles Rams at Miami Dolphins
Tua time leads to Dolphins being home underdogs in his debut.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are back to Super Bowl contenders and have been impressive on both sides of the ball. The passing game has been underutilized and giving me nightmares of the 3 point Super Bowl performance.
Tua is making his debut. Tua is making his debut. It could be good or bad and we are about to find out.
The Dolphins have been impressive but the Rams have been more impressive. The Rams defense has been scary this year and I don't think it's a good set up for Tua's debut.
Rams -3.5 (-110)
Indianapolis Colts Detroit Lions
Someone is going to blow this game but the Colts are road favorites.
The Colts have a top 5 defense in the NFL. The Colts have lost to Jags and almost lost to Bengals, so their consistency has been non-existent.
Stafford, Golladay, and Swift are an impressive trio that could lead the Lions to playoffs. Matt Patricia is the coach and that means blowing second-half leads with bad play calling.
The Colts have been impressive but the Lions are also starting figure things out on defense. Rivers and the offense are not good enough to trust taking the Colts as a favorite.
Lions +3 (-120)
Tennesse Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
Coming off their first loss the Titans are a touchdown road favorites.
The Titans of old are dead, as they now have a top 5 offense in the NFL and have been very impressive. Defensively it has been a very slow start and Clowney surprising has zero sacks this year.
Burrow is probably going to set every rookie QB passing record by the time the season ends. The o-line is injured, the d-line is injured and getting traded.
The Bengals are a tempting bet hear considering their ability to put up points and backdoor cover but the Titans coming off a loss will eventually figure things out on defense and dominate on both sides of the ball.
