Browns vs Texans NFL Game odds, picks, and preview!
One team has been called shit and another team is named after shit. The Texans take on the Browns as their two explosive offenses battle it out in week 10
Houston Texans at Cleveland Brown
The Texans come into this game on a straight heater after beating the 1-6 Jaguars and getting their second win of the season. The Texans have such low standards right now that Interim-coach Romeo Crennel after getting just his second win of the season is rumored to be a favorite for the full-time job in 2021. To no surprise, the Texans have been lead this year by the play of QB Deshaun Watson and the play of their surprising elite WR core of Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks, and even Randall Cobb. The team has no problem putting up points but keeping the other team out of the endzone has been a real problem as they are the 23rd defense against the pass and 28th against the run. Hey JJ Watt did get the100th sack of his career last week so that's pretty cool but he will need like 100 more in this game to help this lifeless defense.
The Browns on the other hand are coming off a bye, which this year now that the incompetent Freddie Kitchens is gone might mean actually something in regards to effect game planning. To make things even better starting RB Nick Chubb was activated off IR and the scary RB duo of Chubb and Kareem Hunt is fully healthy and ready to run over everyone. Guard Wyatt Teller is always expected to return and before he got injured he was rated as the best run blocker in the NFL. Offensively the Browns should be rolling but defensively the Browns have had some struggles this year. Even with the elite play of Myles Garrett this year, the Browns' defense is ranked in the bottom 10 in the league this year. A lot of the problems have come with the injuries secondary and lack of talent in linebacking core.
All things considered, this game has the potential to be a battle of an elite passing offense vs an elite rushing offense. The more consistent of the two is definitely the Browns as they are fully healthy and full set up to run all over the Texans porous rush defense. While the Texans and Watson will be able to keep up with their passing attack, the Browns defense just has to make one or two plays, and then the Browns will be able to lean on the run to control the game. The Texans defense is just too bad and unless JJ Watt gets 100 sacks this game the Browns take this one.
